San Buenaventura is located at Lake Atitlan, in the Guatemalan highlands of Central America. We share the lakeshore with a dozen small and colourful communities, largely Mayan in population. The altitude lakeside is 5,300 ft, above sea level, providing a year round fresh and agreeable climate. Our grounds are a blend of tropical gardens and a coffee forest, with exhilarating natural views and extraordinary panoramas of the Lake and its volcanoes.

We have a swimming pool and beach, set in attractive surroundings,  and own bar and restaurant which overlook the Lake. Enjoy our Jacuzzi and our traditional Mayan sauna heated with firewood. At night you can relax by your living room fireplace or stroll to the beach under the moon light. Next to the hotel is a nature reserve, complete with native flora and fauna, to include a butterfly sanctuary. The nearby community of Panajachel offers restaurants for all Tastes and Budgets, open air markets and an active nightlife.
