Enjoy the launch of Radio Ati in Panajachel.
It all began many years ago, the start of Ati when the art folks started to unite around lake atitlan and connected with scenes in Guatemala City and Xela. In combination with their glossy magazine they organized over a dozen festivals in various villages attracting visitors from Guatemala City, Xela and Antigua to Lake Atitlan.
Movimiento Ati
Since global financial and bacteria related matters drove the magazine from glossy to digital they have organized various events in Panajachel (Ati Libro), Xela and Guatemala City and transformed themselves into a movement called Movimiento Ati.
The Ati movement has been experimenting with the Radio medium as a start for building a base for the Guatemalan music scene for promotional purposes. Getting equipment, setting up a studio and making short programs will eventually lead to 24 hour radio with various live programs to deliver information about our environment and promote latin american music artists.
An afternoon that will work itself into midnight through art, communication, ecology, culture, free speech and music. Saturday August 7th the launch of Radio Ati will be broadcasted live from the Chapiteau and public will be engaged in the whole experience. Audio and Video stream will be broadcasted on Eco-Book.
