Mi vecino es Cat Stevens
Nadie lo sabe,
pero mi vecino es Cat Stevens.
A veces se mete al lago,
y nada siete veces cincuenta metros.
Le gusta coleccionar piedritas
que encuentra en la playa.
Ha venido a este pedazo de sur
porque ya está a verga de la fama,
como de hecho ya está a verga de Alá.
Casi nunca toca guitarra,
pero cuando lo hace,
caen los pájaros, en éxtasis.

I met Cat Stevens when we all were starting out as musicians at the Gaslight in New York City in the late sixties and early seventies. He was such a gentle soul, even then. We were so young with the whole world waiting! Thanks for reminding me of those happiest of years, full of wonder and light.
