Volunteers needed, Jaibalito

 

CASA MILAGRO, Santa Cruz la Laguna, Solola (since 1992) is a Centre for Mothers and Children, a Kindergarten, and a meeting place for seniors. The main focus are the children. We offer all kinds of activities in workshop style - and provide an environment for creativity, joy and freedom.

 

After Tropical Storm AGATHA we started a new group for children in Jaibalito, the next village. There are about 30 families affected by the mudslides and rain.

 

 

·         Helping to prepare a simple meal - refraction for about 25 children

·         taking care of hygiene of the children

·         playing with the children

·         painting, little handcrafts, simple theatre-performance

·         Participating with all needed activities like cleanups etc.

After a time of learning and participating the volunteer might also develop own ideas, books are available. There is open communication between staff members and coordinator about the children and their needs; you will be part of the team and communications.

 

Should have some basic experience working in a creative way with children, singing, dancing etc. If you are professional we will gladly adapt your ideas into our program.

 

We expect a minimum time of 4 weeks, which you can extend up to 2-3 months.
Times: 09:00 – 12:00 and from 14:00 to 17:00 (all flexible)
